Entertainment Complex Coming to Madison Mississippi

Major $60 million construction project will include a Spinners center for children

There are positive things happening in the City of Madison, but currently the most exciting is the $60 million entertainment complex set to break ground this fall with estimated completion by late fall of 2026 and the possibility of extending into the first quarter of 2027. Bellamare Development is bringing this facility, The Gallery, to the city.

Chad Phillips, a Madison native and partner-executive director for Bellamare Development, said The Gallery is a place created with the community for the community that will help spur other economic development. “By blending arts, culture, entertainment, and commerce, The Gallery will serve as a vibrant hub that enhances community life, supports local businesses, and helps Madison grow—not just economically, but as a cultural destination and a place we’re all proud to call home.”

At the center of the development is Spinners, a 120,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor family entertainment center offering fun, connection, and play for all ages. Just steps away, Royal Street will bring a walkable, French-inspired atmosphere to Madison with thoughtfully curated local restaurants, retail shops, and office spaces. The Gallery is a privately funded development. No tax dollars are being used to finance this project, said Phillips.

Mayor Mary Hawkins is thrilled to see a place for children to enjoy. “It’s a dream come true. We’ve wanted this for a long time,” she said. “We have parks and events, but we didn’t have anything like this.”

She and other city officials visited Spinners locations and knew it would be a perfect fit for their 30,000-population city. “This center will bring people here, and we’ll have synergy that will help our businesses and sales tax collections,” she added.

The Gallery is expected to generate a meaningful economic impact by creating new jobs, supporting local entrepreneurs, and attracting additional investment to the region. “We’re providing space for small businesses to grow and thrive, while also delivering a destination that enhances quality of life for Madison residents,” said Phillips. “We believe it will have a positive ripple effect not just in Madison, but throughout the county and potentially the state, by strengthening our appeal for future business and industry recruitment.”

Joey Deason, executive director of the Madison County Economic Development Authority, agrees. “It’s an exciting time to be in Madison County where all the cities are doing extremely well,” he said. “What helps the cities helps the county; they compliment each other.”

His organization conducted a survey among young families which revealed that entertainment is a missing component of a great community although it has retail and other amenities. “This will fill the gap,” he said. “And one thing builds on another.”

Phillips said his team has deep roots in Madison with many living, working, and raising  families there. “Over the years, we’ve heard consistent feedback from the community expressing a desire for more family-friendly entertainment options. We saw an opportunity to meet that need while also creating a destination that supports local businesses and attracts out-of-town visitors.” The location for the project is right off Interstate-55 and Main Street offering easy accessibility for residents and travelers, a perfect spot for this development, according to Phillips. “We conducted multiple market studies that confirmed strong support for this project. More importantly, we listened closely to the voices of Madison residents,” he said. “Community feedback played a major role in shaping this vision. Our team dedicated significant time to understanding what families and individuals in Madison want, and this development is a direct response to that demand.”

Bellamare’s mission is “Transforming communities one connection at a time.” “The mission strongly drives this project. From entertainment and hospitality to retail and recreation, our company is committed to bringing visionary developments to life—designed for the community, by the community,” said Phillips. “We are thrilled with the amount of support that The Gallery has received so far. From restaurants to retail, we have multiple amazing tenants signed already that we will be announcing in the coming months.”
