Annual Sanderson Farms Championship Generates Economic Revenue for the State

The Sanderson Farms Championship, a premier PGA TOUR golf tournament, will return to The Country Club of Jackson in Mississippi from September 30 – October 6. This highly anticipated event will once again draw top golfers from around the world and thousands of enthusiastic spectators, promising an exhilarating week of world-class golf and community impact.

Since 2013, Wayne-Sanderson Farms, Inc. has served as the title sponsor of the Sanderson Farms Championship in collaboration with Century Club Charities, the nonprofit host organization. Together, they have made a lasting impact beyond the greens, contributing significantly to Mississippi’s economy and charitable landscape. The tournament generates around $30 million in economic revenue for the state.

However, the most profound contribution of the Sanderson Farms Championship lies in its dedication to charitable giving. Each year, the tournament raises substantial funds for Children’s of Mississippi, the state’s only hospital dedicated exclusively to treating sick and injured children, as well as numerous other local charities. Last year alone, the event donated $1 million to Children’s of Mississippi and over $500,000 to various other causes. These contributions have played a vital role in expanding healthcare facilities and enhancing the lives of countless children and families across the state.

Century Club Charities, the driving force behind the tournament, has a clear mission: to promote the game of golf for the benefit of Mississippi charities. Since becoming the title sponsor, in 2013 Wayne-Sanderson Farms, Inc., along with Century Club Charities, has contributed over $17.2 million to Children’s of Mississippi. Over the years, Century Club Charities has raised more than $24.5 million for charitable causes statewide since its inception in 1994. For more information, visit sandersonfarmschampionship.com.
